Wishing everyone a very happy and healthy new year. I look forward to knitting along with you in 2016.
A cheeky breakfast at Cote Restaurant on this marvellous sunny Sunday!
Followed by a brisk walk to see how the countryside is doing
Then home to photograph another pair of socks ticked off – Surprise socks knitted with guess what Opal Surprise shade 4064.
I can’t help but think these look better in the photo than in the real – they seem a little washed out.
Kim Hargreaves is veteran knitwear designer with over 20 years experience. Kim has just released her latest book – Embrace. Her books contain great patterns for sophisticated and cosy knits.
Embrace is a collection that moves effortlessly from the fading glow of summer into welcoming the arms of Autumn!
It is a collection with a 70’s twist.
More pictures to come.
2015’s Rainforest XI range from Opal where all the animals represent law enforcement has arrived or should I say “cops and robbers”! Maybe I should collect them all and help save the Rainforests at the same time! Apparently over 147,000 euros over the last 10 years has been donated to this good cause and all thanks to us sock knitters!
What a lovely set of sock yarn and they have it on special over at Knitting in Newbury.
I have had this yarn a while and considering I love the colour pink I cannot believe how long the yarn has sat hibernating – no more.
I have also finished the neck of Haven and yes it goes over my head. Sew the sides up and put the sleeves in is next up – tomorrow hopefully or shall I save it for New Years Eve sewing up party.
